About the event

King's Volunteering offer a fun and creative two-part embroidery workshop led by the talented artist Rosanna McNamara to create embroidered solidarity patches to gift to volunteers at LGBTQIA+ youth charity, Just Like Us.

Session dates and times: July 3rd and July 10th 5:30-7:30pm (you can attend both or just one - see details below)

Who is the session for: Any staff member or student at King's

What you need to bring: Just yourself! All crafting items and designs will be provided and the workshops are free to attend.

How to sign up: Follow the event link and sign up to either one or both of the session dates.

This is a two-part workshop spread across two different dates, ideally you will attend both sessions to allow you enough time to give you enough time to complete one of the embroidered designs pictured above. However, if you are only able to attend one session, don't worry as there will be some simpler designs you can complete instead.

Rosanna will guide you through the basics of embroidery, teaching you essential stitches and techniques to create beautiful designs.

Just Like Us are one of King's Volunteering's partner charities, dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ young people. Just Like Us will distribute these badges to their volunteer ambassadors, who will proudly wear them during their storytelling sessions at school events. You can find out more about their work on their website.

There are limited spaces available for these sessions, so please sign up sooner rather than later via the booking link to ensure you secure a spot. If you wish to attend both sessions, please make sure you sign up to both events. You are not automatically given a space on the second session if you have only signed up to the first one.
