About the event
NEST is the (N)etwork to (E)ngage, (S)upport & bring (T)ogether Parents & Carers at King's and Proudly is the King's College London LGBTQIA+ Staff Network. Together, we are honoured to invite you to this unique online discussion panel taking place on Tuesday, January 20th, at 12:00.
👩👦👦 Our aim is to reach all staff who want to support a young person questioning their gender identity but aren’t sure how.
This event isn’t just for parents and carers, as there are so many other ways to be a supportive adult! You could be a guncle or a launtie; a mentor or a sports coach; a friendly neighbour or a distant cousin, three times removed. Whichever it is, you can be a safe haven and an anchor of support for a confused young person in a world that isn't always welcoming.
