Proudly King's LGBTQIA+ Staff Network is proud to host a special screening of Channel 4’s acclaimed documentary The Secret of Me, followed by an in-person Q&A with the film’s director, Grace Hallett-Hughes.


The film follows Jim as he discovers, at 19, that he is intersex — a truth hidden from him since birth — and begins to unravel the life-changing decisions others made about his body. The screening will be held in the Edmund J Safra Lecture Theatre (now KIN G37) and followed with a relaxed wine and nibbles Q&A reception in the Great Hall.

At the age of 19, college student Kristi discovered a secret about herself that her doctors and parents had kept from her all her life. The discovery overwhelmed her, and also made sense of everything that had gone before.
